"Tom Brownlee is the absolute best natural dog trainer I have ever seen. The guy communicates with his dogs in a way that is just jaw dropping." Chris Aycock, President, American Society of Canine Trainers

It has been said repeatedly that 95% of dog training is training the owner/ handler. Nothing could be closer to the truth. During the course of years of dog training on multiple levels from pet obedience to professional K9 handlers we constantly run into what seem to be complex problems, which almost invariably have easy answers.
A new era in dog training was gradually ushered in over the last two decades, one of positive reinforcement, motivational training. Not only does this produce consistent results but it forces the trainers and owners to analyze why a dog does what he does, and how best to take this behavior analysis and use it to your advantage.
At Canine Logistics we like to take this process a step further, whenever possible, and not only look at what motivates, and how behavior modification can be accomplished, but at the technical aspects of K9. Canine physiology, canine psychology, genetics, neurobiology, and a host of other variables which when learned can not only shorten the training process, but enhance performance and make the handler/dog team the symbiotic relationship it should be.
As in many other arenas, the way to accomplish this is through education. It does no good for a trainer to come to your home and train your dog. If you, the owner/handler are educated in such a way that you can conduct the training yourself, both you and the dog will benefit. We attempt to offer education on a number of levels that are appropriate. From pet dog owners to dog enthusiasts to professional dog handlers, a series of Seminars are on offer that are presented in a logical, interesting, and information-intensive format to better increase the understanding of all levels of dog handlers. These are referred to as "people only" Seminars, as they are not a venue to train the dogs, they are a venue to train the owner/handlers.
For those wishing more instruction than a classroom atmosphere can provide psd Canine Logistics also offers one-on-one consultation, again with the focus on educating the people involved. Email prodigalservicedogs@bresnan.net or call 406-439-5323 for information.
