Canine Logistics

In an on-going effort to support our law enforcement agencies, psd Canine Logistics is extremely pleased to announce a Donation Program for qualifying departments or facilities. Tom Brownlee is a Certified Master Trainer with the American Society of Canine Trainers (ASCT), the most technically advanced Law Enforcement K9 training organization in the nation.

The program centers around providing a Narcotics Detection K9 for those qualifying applicants. The K9 will be certified on a national level through the American Society of Canine Trainers (see links) and made available free of charge, all training provided by psd Canine Logistics. The dogs are trained to be “passive” alert, thus reducing liability to the department through any damage to personal property, while at the same time increasing the public›s perception of a civic-minded department.

Training is followed by an intense 8 day Handling School wherein the requisites of K9 handling are taught to the prospective handler.

As with all things “that sound to good to be true…” there is a caveat. In order to cover expenses involved in the Handling School, psd Canine Logistics must charge a fee for the eight day school. Other expenses (for the appropriate K9 equipment) will ultimately also be incurred by the department involved. In the final analysis the department involved can expect a total cost that will reflect a 60%+ in savings as opposed to going through conventional channels to obtain a Narcotics Detection Dog.
